South Africa - DGSP Project Manager
The British Council in South Africa is looking for a qualified individual to fill the post of a 'Project Manager' in the Global School Partnerships sector.
Salary range (R17,817 - R32,056). This position is on fixed term contract of 12 months.
Aim:
Ensure effective management, promotion, development, monitoring and evaluation of DGSP in-country - DFID Global School Partnerships promotes partnerships between schools in the UK and schools in Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean. The programme provides advice and guidance, professional development opportunities and grants to schools that are using school partnerships as a means for developing a global dimension within their curriculum. It aims to raise young people’s awareness of global development issues and equip them with the skills and knowledge to become active global citizens.
Duties:
Managing the programme against agreed DGSP country plans and budget to achieve new partnerships and grant targets, and submit agreed reports. Developing and implementing a country strategy to support and promote high quality global school partnerships. Manage establishment of new partnerships through partner finding and dissemination of programme information.
Managing delivery of agreed professional development workshops and submitting required data to the Regional Professional Development Co-ordinator (RPDC).Managing effective delivery of Grant Preparation Seminars in-country to achieve grant targets at Reciprocal Visit & Global Curriculum Project grant levels.
Requirements: 
Background in education and knowledge of basic education sector
Strong project management skills
Computer skills
Very strong communication (verbal and written) skills
Conceptual, organisational and administration skills
Networking skills

Salary range (R6,886 - R13,303). This position is on fixed term contract of 12 months.
Aim:
Support the effective management, promotion, development, monitoring and evaluation of the DFID Global School Partnerships programme in South Africa.
Duties:
Organising relevant events against activity plan and budget to meet targets. Organising DGSP dissemination and promotion events including seminars, meetings, media coverage and exhibitions of successful global school partnerships to motivate and attract new partnerships. Organising professional development workshops and submitting attendance lists. Communicating grant deadlines and encouraging schools to apply.
Requirements: 
Very strong communication (verbal and written)
Computer skills
Good administration skills
